Accommodation

The Nelson Mandela Bay (NMB) website offers detailed information on accommodation, including hotels and bed-and-breakfasts. Guests are advised to acquire accommodation in and around Summerstrand.

The Boardwalk Casino and Entertainment World Complex also hosts a number of hotels in the City Lodge Group (Road Lodge, Town Lodge, City Lodge and Garden Court) as well as the Boardwalk Hotel, Spa and Convention Centre. The Beach Hotel, which is near the Boardwalk entrance, is a great option too.

Restaurants

There are a number of restaurants at the Boardwalk Casino and Entertainment World Complex including Chinese, Italian and Greek restaurants. Summerstrand is home to eateries like Beer Shack and Angelo’s to name a few. Further afield in Stanley Street, Central, are a number of unique eateries. Alternatively, the NMB website provides a detailed list of restaurants in the Port Elizabeth Area.

Entertainment

The NMB website provides numerous possibilities.  The favourite destination of tourists is currently Route 67. Also recommended, but requiring a vehicle, are several game parks in the Area, the most well-known being the Addo Elephant National Park. For the more adventurous type, the Face Adventure team invites you to face your fears and experience bungee jumping off the Bloukrans Bridge in Tsitsikama, 186 km from Port Elizabeth.
